VAPORIZING regulators

Vaporizing regulators are heated pressure regulators designed to supply heat to samples entering instrumentation systems. They can  be used to preheat liquids, to prevent condensation of gases, or to vaporize liquids prior to gas analysis.

CYLINDER REGULATORS

Cylinder regulators are used to reduce the high pressures of storage cylinders to those required by a downstream application (such as cutting and welding). These regulators often have two stages: the first stage of the regulator releases the gas at a constant pressure from the cylinder despite the pressure in the cylinder becoming less as the gas is released while the second stage of the regulator controls the pressure reduction from the intermediate pressure to low pressure. Cylinder regulators usually have two pressure gauges, one indicating cylinder pressure and the other indicating delivery pressure.

DOME-LOADED regulators

Dome-loaded pressure reducing regulators are used to finely control the downstream system pressure, but instead of using an internal spring and a control knob to manually adjust the outlet pressure an air source is used instead.
